ART + SCIENCE/HEALTH = WELLBEING
This exhibition is the result of creative collaboration between researchers, artists, clinicians, and people from the community with experience of health challenges. Together they used art to generate new knowledge, represent health research findings, share experiences that can be hard to put into words, form a community, and harness creative abilities.
It takes a long time for health research to hit the ground and we know wellbeing involves more than a medical response. Some experiences, such as physical or emotional pain, can be hard to put into words, and the arts offer alternative ways to explore and convey them. Working through art builds bridges in how we understand ourselves, work with each other, create community and harness our creative abilities.
